One of the main challenges facing the world of research in future years will be to develop a sound and constructive dialogue with the rest of society (citizens, stakeholders, educational institutions).

Science Technology and Society - STSTN - is an interdisciplinary university project aimed at raising awareness among researchers (especially younger ones) of issues concerning the relationship between science and society, as well as at offering a platform for discussion of these themes at the University with the general public and the local community.

Activities started in 2007 in three main areas: seminars, research, national and international collaborations.

The project is supported by a grant from the Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Trento e Rovereto.
