Each doctoral student is allocated a personal research budget of €1,800. The Department provides access to individual workstations in a shared open space, currently serving 25 active PhD students across four cohorts (2024/25). Facilities include standard and high-performance computers equipped with specialist software and access to cloud-based services.

Doctoral students benefit from a wide range of services, including free printing and photocopying, access to extensive databases and bibliographic resources, and laboratories equipped with high-performance computers. Remote access to the university’s central computing servers is also available. Common areas include a shared lounge designed to encourage informal exchanges among peers and faculty, as well as a dedicated phone line for professional communication. All facilities are accessible 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

The Department actively supports international mobility through research stays abroad, cotutelle agreements with partner universities, and the opportunity to obtain the Doctor Europaeus label. A dedicated secretary assists with the organisation of doctoral activities and provides support throughout the PhD programme.
