The Digital Traces and Virtual Reality Lab (DTRACES) aims to become the Italian reference center for methods, techniques and acquisition of nano-data from sensors for the study of social and behavioral interactions (ISC) in vivo as well as for the development of the use of virtual reality (VR) in areas where the use of traditional observational techniques is impossible. DTRACES also develops new teaching techniques through VR and mixed reality simulation systems.
Good and very promising opportunities for collaboration and research, on the other hand, are available. In addition to collaborations with DISI and FBK, the development of a collaboration with the ISI (Institute for Scientific Interchange) foundation in Turin and the SocioPattern center is expected in the coming months. Also as part of the DTACES laboratory, the in vivo data collection phase is about to begin, on a population of students at the University of Trento.
Also within the DTACES laboratory, some in vivo data collection is about to begin on (a) a population of students at the University of Trento and their lifestyles and relationships within cohabitation; (b) a population of workers and their workplace interactions in an open-plan office environment; (c) a population of cohabiting couples in Italy and their lifestyles, division of care tasks and social relationships.
