The doctoral course in Sociology and Social Research collaborates with key non-academic partners who play an active role in shaping the training of future researchers. These organizations contribute by offering research internships, fieldwork opportunities, collaborative projects, and sponsorship, ensuring a strong connection between academic training and real-world applications.
Starting from the 2024/2025 academic year, the Academic Board of the PhD Programme in Sociology and Social Research launched a formal stakeholder consultation process aimed at strengthening the dialogue between the doctoral programme and key social, institutional, and professional actors.
The first consultation meeting was held on March 25, 2025, organised by the PhD Programme Coordinator together with members of the Executive Committee.
Participants included representatives from research institutions, public agencies, and local organisations, such as the Bank of Italy’s Trento research center, Fondazione Franco Demarchi, the Provincial Labour Agency, Eurac Research, CGIL del Trentino, and the University Office of the Autonomous Province of Trento.
The PhD programme also maintains constant dialogue with the academic and professional community through the involvement of external referees and final examination committee members, who are always selected from among international experts affiliated with prestigious universities and leading research institutions.
